Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has named Umar Musa Gama, widely known as Umar Maggi, as his Special Adviser on Assembly Matters. The announcement came Saturday through a statement released by the governor's spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Maggi previously served as a lawmaker representing his constituency in the 9th Kano State House of Assembly. He brings legislative experience to the role, the statement noted.
"Maggi is known for his commitment to legislative duties and his contributions to the development of the state," according to the announcement. Governor Yusuf called on him to leverage his background and dedication in the new position.
The governor said Maggi's expertise would strengthen efforts by his administration to deliver effective governance and better service delivery across Kano State. The appointment takes effect immediately, the statement confirmed.
