Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje is challenging the outcome of the APC primary election in Gombe Central. He's calling the announced results fraudulent.

Returning Officer Dr Habu Dahiru declared DCP Mohammed Ahmed the winner last Monday. Ahmed reportedly polled 42,785 votes, leaving Goje with 10,425.

But Goje's team isn't accepting this. His Special Assistant, Ahmed Isa Kashere, issued a statement contradicting the official announcement.

According to Kashere, the primary election hasn't been properly concluded yet. He said the two local government areas involved—Akko and Yamaltu/Deba—haven't finalized their results.

Goje has represented Gombe Central since 2011. He's now claiming enemies of the party are spreading false tallies.

"Despite the fact that the official result is not announced, some sections of the media and a few social media platforms have been flooded with fabricated results claiming to reflect the outcome of the exercise," Kashere stated.

In his words, supporters should ignore what's circulating online. The real results will come from party headquarters in Abuja.

Kashere's statement was direct about this. "The official result of the primary election has not yet been announced," he noted.

He explained that party guidelines require results to be released from the national office. Only that declaration would be authentic.

Constituents are being urged to stay calm during the wait. Kashere appealed to party members and the public to exercise patience.

The senator remains committed to the party's rules, according to his aide. Goje will respect whatever final outcome emerges through proper channels.

This dispute comes as the APC prepares for the 2027 general elections. The primary was meant to settle who'd fly the party's flag in the senatorial race.

Many observers are watching how the national party office handles this challenge. A credible resolution could shape confidence in upcoming primary exercises.
