FCT Minister Assures Safety and Accessibility for Foreign Businesses in Abuja

In a meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria, Mrs Joanna Tarnawska, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, assured her of the safety and accessibility of the federal capital, Abuja, for foreigners to conduct their businesses.

Wike emphasized that the security in the city had significantly improved and was safe for everybody, including foreigners, to carry out their businesses without fear.

He also highlighted the cordial relationship between Nigeria and Poland and expressed the FCT Administration’s willingness to collaborate with Poland in developing its agriculture sector.

The partnership would enable the Administration to empower the teeming youths with employment opportunities in the agricultural sector, aligning with the top priorities of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration, which include job creation and security.

The Polish Ambassador, who has been in Nigeria for over five years, described the country as an exciting place to live in and assured the minister of the continued bilateral relationship developed many years ago.

She added that the visit was to explore new avenues of cooperation for mutual benefits.

The collaboration between Nigeria and Poland in the agriculture sector could lead to the establishment of large farms in Abuja, which would employ the youths and eventually allow them to own the farms.

This initiative could create sustainable employment opportunities and contribute to the development of the FCT’s economy.

Overall, the FCT Minister’s assurance of safety and accessibility for foreign businesses in Abuja is a positive step towards fostering international partnerships and promoting economic growth in the Nigerian capital.
