A coalition of ex-agitators and key stakeholders from Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Edo States, under the banner of the Progressive Peace Ambassadors of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PPAPAP), has condemned what it calls a malicious smear campaign targeting High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) and Chief Dennis Otuaro.
In a statement jointly signed by prominent regional leaders and stakeholders, the group criticized one Jude Gbaboyor for spreading falsehoods on social media, urging Facebook to take immediate action against his misleading and defamatory posts.
The coalition hailed Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services for its pivotal role in curbing oil theft across the Niger Delta and praised Chief Dennis Otuaro’s leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Program for stabilizing and revitalizing the initiative.
Signatories to the press release included Gen. Kerebi Onbe, Gen. Victor Adokeme (Delta), Gen. Parker Waritimi, Gen. Job Tari (Bayelsa), Gen. Tonye Fred, Samuel Akparsi Ebitari (Rivers), Gen. Ojuemi Oweikeme a.k.a Luke-Luke, Chief Gen. Joseph (Edo), Gen. Oyinki Destiny a.k.a Baba Nee, and the group’s coordinator, Gen. Markson Isere IJB.
The group emphasized that both Tompolo and Otuaro have made significant contributions to the development of the Ijaw nation and Nigeria as a whole. They described the attacks as the handiwork of political detractors and "paid mobbers" trying to undermine their integrity and achievements.
They called on the public to disregard the baseless allegations and continue supporting efforts aimed at maintaining peace and development in the region.
