Emir of Minna Celebrates 36 Years on Throne: A Legacy of Peace and Progress

The Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Farouq Bahago, recently celebrated his 67th birthday and 36th year on the throne.

The people of Niger State have praised his peaceful nature and his dedication to maintaining peaceful coexistence within his emirate.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, in a message delivered by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, showered the Emir with encomiums.

Governor Bago described the Emir as a man of peace and commended his steadfastness in sustaining harmony throughout his emirate.

The Governor also highlighted the immense contributions, passion, and wise counsel of the Emir in the growth and development of not just his emirate, but the entire state.

He emphasized that the Emir has upheld the sanctity of cultural traditions through purposeful leadership during his 36-year reign.

While congratulating the Emir, Governor Bago assured him that his administration is committed to addressing the security challenges faced in parts of the emirate.

The Deputy Governor, Yakubu Garba, also praised the Emir for his exemplary leadership in uplifting the lives of his subjects, particularly in the education sector through the Emirate Educational Programme.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Niger State council recognized the Emir’s peaceful nature, which has fostered unity within the emirate and the state.

As the Emir of Minna marks this significant milestone, his legacy of peace, progress, and commitment to cultural traditions is evident.

His leadership has brought people together and contributed to the development of Niger State.
