The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Mr. Adeniran Akinwale, has assured residents of the state of adequate security during and after the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement released by the police public relations officer, Mr. Sunday Abutu, the police chief extended warm wishes to the people of the state, particularly the Muslim faithful, as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
Akinwale directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and heads of tactical and intelligence units to beef up security and deploy adequate operatives to all strategic points and places of celebration across the state.
He emphasized the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the residents of the state and maintaining the peaceful atmosphere currently enjoyed.
The Commissioner of Police urged parents and guardians to caution their children against any actions that might disrupt the celebrations or disturb the peace, warning that those found guilty would face the full force of the law.
He also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
As the Muslim community in Nigeria and worldwide celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, the police in Ekiti State are working diligently to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration for all.
