Eid-el-Fitr: President Tinubu Urges Faith in Government’s Economic Policies

President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has called on the Muslim faithful and the general populace to maintain unwavering faith in his administration’s economic policies.

Addressing the congregation at the Eid Ground in Dodan Barracks, Lagos, the President assured the citizens that the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda is being diligently implemented to bring prosperity to all Nigerians.

President Tinubu highlighted the values of sacrifice and resilience displayed by the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan and urged them to extend these virtues beyond the fasting period.

He emphasized the need for love for one’s country, stating, “We must love our country more than any other country, because that is the only one we have.”

The President also stressed the importance of protecting the integrity of the government and leadership, while urging the citizens to remain hopeful about the future.

“Without hope, there is no salvation. Without hope, there is no development. Without hope, there is no life,” he told journalists after the prayers.

The Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla, echoed President Tinubu’s sentiments in his sermon, urging Nigerians to shun all acts of violence and ensure peaceful co-existence.

He called on those in leadership positions to remain faithful to their oaths of office and work towards alleviating the suffering of the less privileged.

The Chief Imam offered prayers for God’s guidance, wisdom, and protection for President Tinubu, the Lagos State government, and the entire country.

He also prayed for peace and stability in Nigeria and other areas of conflict, such as Gaza.

As Nigeria celebrates Eid-el-Fitr and looks forward to a brighter future, President Tinubu’s message of faith, resilience, and love for one’s country serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to work towards a prosperous and peaceful nation.
