EFCC seeks closer collaboration with Enugu Police Command

By Stanley Nwanosike

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has sought closer collaboration with the Enugu State Police Command in security intelligence sharing and other forms of partnership.

The EFCC Secretary, Dr George Ekpungu, said this during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, CP Ahmed Ammani, in his office in Enugu on Monday.

Ekpungu, who was accompanied by the Commander of the Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC, Mr Aliyu Naibi, and other senior officers, said the visit was also to thank the CP for the support of the Command to the Enugu Zonal Office of the Commission.

Responding, the CP, who welcomed the Secretary and his team, reassured him of the continued collaboration of the police to ensure the Commission delivers on its mandate in the South-East.

“As a Command, we will continue to support EFCC Enugu Zonal Office within our capacity and ensure that we work closely together to rid the state and by extension the country of crime and criminality,” the state police boss said.
