EFCC Apprehends Suspected Internet Fraudster with Charms in Port Harcourt

The Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken into custody a suspected internet fraudster, Ali Desmond Chinedum, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The arrest was made following intelligence reports suggesting Chinedum’s involvement in internet-related offenses.

During the operation, the EFCC operatives seized several items from Chinedum, including:

One iPhone 11 Pro Max
One Redmi 12 Android mobile device
Two United States Navy identity cards with numbers: 100040041245 and 100010041159
One Mercedes Benz GLK
One HP laptop computer device
Charms

The EFCC has declared that Chinedum will be charged in court upon the completion of the ongoing investigations.

This arrest underscores the agency’s ongoing efforts to combat internet fraud and cybercrime in Nigeria, as it continues to monitor and apprehend individuals suspected of engaging in such activities.
