NedAs Christians across Nigeria celebrate the Easter season, Senator Ned Nwoko has called on citizens and leaders to draw strength from the message of renewal, even as many households grapple with mounting economic and social pressures.
In his Easter message, the lawmaker reflected on the deeper significance of the season, describing it as a powerful reminder of resilience and the promise of new beginnings after periods of hardship.
He acknowledged the difficult realities confronting many Nigerian families, expressing empathy for those enduring the weight of ongoing challenges across the country.
“Easter reminds us that difficult moments do not define the end of the story,” he stated, stressing that adversity should inspire patience, determination, and, importantly, responsive leadership.
Senator Nwoko noted that Nigeria is currently navigating a critical phase of transition, characterised by reforms and policy adjustments. While conceding that the full benefits of these measures may not yet be widely felt, he emphasised the need for perseverance and a shared sense of responsibility among all stakeholders.
According to him, national progress requires a collective effort. He called for leadership anchored on fairness, conscience, and accountability, alongside a renewed commitment to unity and inclusiveness among citizens.
“This season calls for more than reflection; it calls for responsibility,” he added, urging leaders to act with sincerity and Nigerians to sustain hope through practical belief in a better future.
The senator expressed confidence that with the right decisions and cooperative effort, Nigeria will overcome its present challenges. He extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians, praying for renewed strength, comfort for those in distress, and the assurance of brighter days ahead.
