DSS Urges Peaceful Coexistence During Lent and Ramadan: A Call for Tolerance and Harmony

The Department of State Services (DSS) has recently released a statement in which they felicitated with Christian and Muslim faithful on the Lenten and coming Ramadan seasons.

In their message, the DSS called for peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians during these holy days, emphasizing the importance of religious tolerance and respect for one another.

In the statement signed by Dr. Peter Afunanya, the director of public relations & strategic communications, the DSS also urged both Christians and Muslims to demonstrate tolerance and respect one another during and after the exercises.

They recognized the significance of these sacred rites and appealed to all stakeholders to refrain from economic exploitation, sabotage, or profiteering during these important religious obligations.

The DSS also emphasized that illegal practices such as price gouging or unethical marketing tactics are not only ungodly but also violate fairness and undermine the true essence of these holy events.

As believers, it is incumbent upon us to uphold good standards and promote the true values of our respective religious practices
