The Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has intensified the state’s participation in the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Food Outreach Scheme — a Federal Government social investment program championed by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (CON).

During a distribution event held Wednesday at the Government House, Asaba, Deaconess Oborevwori handed out 3,000 bags of semolina and 2,500 cartons of pasta to 400 households across the state. This marks a significant expansion from a previous phase of the outreach conducted earlier in the year.

“A few months ago, this outreach began with a limited distribution. Today, on behalf of Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I am honored to extend this gesture to a larger number of our people,” Deaconess Oborevwori stated during the event.

She praised the Renewed Hope Initiative for its growing influence in uplifting everyday Nigerians and lauded Senator Tinubu for her compassionate leadership, which she said is visibly changing lives.

“The Renewed Hope Initiative is daily giving hope to Nigerians. No doubt, this gesture will reach those at the grassroots,” she added.

The Delta First Lady urged beneficiaries and residents to continue supporting the program through prayers and positive action, expressing hope for broader coverage under the current administration. “It is our earnest prayer that this empowerment continues to spread, touching every doorstep in Delta State,” she said.

In her welcome remarks, the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Catherine Onyeme — represented by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu — praised Deaconess Oborevwori for reinforcing strategic collaboration with the President’s wife to deliver tangible benefits to Delta’s most vulnerable citizens.

Beneficiaries of the outreach — including the visually impaired, persons with physical disabilities, orphanages, senior citizens, and other underserved groups — expressed gratitude to both Senator Tinubu and Deaconess Oborevwori for their support.

The Renewed Hope Initiative, led by Nigeria’s First Lady, is a flagship federal intervention targeting low-income and vulnerable groups through programs in health, education, welfare, and economic empowerment.
