The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has debunked allegations against Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), for allegedly sidelining APC youths in the Warri Federal Constituency during a recent training program.

In a statement signed by the Delta APC’s State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq, the party dismissed the claims as baseless and misleading.

The allegations, which were circulated on social media by unidentified individuals claiming to be APC members, accused Engr. Ogbe of excluding party youths from the NCDMB-organized training initiative; however, the party say those behind are not APC members.

The Delta APC clarified that the selection process for the program was conducted transparently, with participants nominated by the leadership of their respective ethnic nationalities. According to the party, the Itsekiri participants were selected with the approval of HRM Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, while the Urhobo and Isoko representatives were chosen by Olorogun Ese Gam Owe of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) and Prof. Chris Akpotu of the Isoko Development Union (IDU), respectively.

The party further emphasized that Engr. Ogbe remains a committed supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, which prioritizes national development, job creation, and youth empowerment. His leadership at the NCDMB has been instrumental in advancing Nigeria’s local content policies, ensuring broad-based participation in the oil and gas sector.

Delta APC reaffirmed that the training program was designed to benefit Nigerians across all ethnic and political affiliations, reflecting the Board’s dedication to inclusivity and national growth. The party urged those spreading false allegations to desist from divisive tactics and instead support the positive strides being made under Engr. Ogbe’s leadership.

Calling for public support, the APC assured that it remains committed to fostering unity and promoting policies that uplift all citizens, in alignment with the federal government’s vision for national progress.
