The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown its full weight behind Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, applauding the company’s “outstanding and patriotic” service in combating oil theft, protecting national assets, and empowering thousands of youths in the Niger Delta.
In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq, and released on July 12, 2025, the party lauded the visionary leadership of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), describing his efforts as transformative and results-driven.
“Through strategic intelligence gathering, proactive surveillance and community engagement, Tantita has drastically curtailed crude oil theft, secured vital pipelines and significantly boosted Nigeria’s daily oil output,” the statement said.
The APC praised Tantita’s alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and commended the synergy between Tantita’s operations and the M.O.R.E. Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, emphasising that peace and security are foundational to Delta’s development drive.
“Tantita’s professionalism is not only stabilising our oil economy but helping actualise key national and state development blueprints,” the party noted.
Crucially, the Delta APC spotlighted the company’s massive contribution to youth employment.
“By directly engaging thousands of local youths in surveillance and community operations, Tantita is diverting young people from crime and creating legitimate livelihoods,” the statement read.
The party highlighted how the ripple effect of Tantita’s operations has stimulated local economies, equipped youths with valuable skills in intelligence gathering and marine operations, and fostered a new sense of community ownership.
“This inclusive model positions Niger Delta youths as protectors—not saboteurs—of national wealth,” it stated.
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Delta APC declared Tantita’s work a strategic electoral advantage:
“Communities benefiting from employment and improved security are more likely to support a party that prioritises their welfare,” it added.
The APC urged all stakeholders—traditional rulers, community leaders, private sector players, and security agencies—to continue supporting Tantita’s mandate:
“Protecting our national assets is a collective responsibility. These gains must be sustained through unity, vigilance, and synergy.”
Reaffirming its commitment to national progress, the APC pledged to partner with patriotic organisations and champion the goals of security, prosperity, and long-term development.
“Together, we will build a nation anchored on peace, security, and economic growth for future generations.”
