Davido has sounded the alarm over moves to deregister the Accord Party before Osun's gubernatorial poll. The Afrobeat star posted his concerns on X on Thursday.

He questioned why authorities would cancel the party's registration. In his words: "Deregister Accord party for what?

Cowards let's go to the field."

Davido called for a competitive and transparent election. He's demanding the playing field remain level for all contestants.

His outburst comes two days after he attacked Gboyega Oyetola, the minister of Marine and Blue Economy. Davido accused the former Osun governor of plotting to undermine his opponents.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido's uncle, left the PDP in December 2025. He cited internal leadership turmoil and legal battles as reasons for his exit.

Adeleke then joined the Accord Party to pursue his re-election bid. Osun voters will head to the polls on August 15, 2026.
