Daily Trust Foundation has distributed food items to four orphanages across Abuja and Kaduna state.

Rice, vegetable oil, and palm oil went to Abuja Children Home, NASFAT Agency for Zakat and Sadaqat, Jam'iyar Matan Arewa Premier Orphanage, and Malali Orphanage.

The foundation is the charitable arm of Media Trust Group, which publishes Daily Trust newspapers, Aminiya, Trust TV, and radio stations.

Ele S. Ifah, programme officer at the foundation, explained the timing of the gift.

According to him, the donation aimed to help orphans during the sallah celebration period.

Ifah hoped the supplies would ease some hardships facing the children. He told officials the items should provide meaningful relief.

Joy Michael spoke on behalf of Abuja Children's Home management. She thanked Daily Trust Foundation for its ongoing commitment to the facility.

Rabi Saulawa leads Jam'iyar Matan Arewa orphanage. In her remarks, she praised the foundation's consistent support over the years.

The donation will significantly help meet the children's needs, Saulawa noted. She valued the partnership between her organization and the foundation.

Sa'adu Dabo manages Malali Orphanage's operations. He clarified that his organization doesn't run a residential home for orphans.

Instead, Malali Orphanage identifies vulnerable children living with relatives and supports them. Dabo said the donated items would reach registered orphans under their care.

He commended the foundation for its consistent assistance. Dabo prayed for the foundation's continued success and growth.

Daily Trust Foundation regularly runs humanitarian programs across Nigeria. Its work focuses on vulnerable populations, education, health, and emergency relief.
