Cleric urges Christians to avoid sharing fake news

Rev. Tajan Moltok, the Jos Resident Pastor of Shepherd House Assembly International has warned Christians to shun sharing fake news.

The cleric made the call in his sermon titled’ The Mystery of His Presence ‘ during the church service on Sunday in Jos.

He expressed concern that people share information especially on social media without verification and being circumspect of their actions.

“You are putting tension in the system by sharing fake news . You are sharing what you are not sure of  do not propagate that,” he said.

He urged the congregants to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and not to hold grudges with people saying’ Make peace with God and people,”.

Moltok said Christianity is a way of life and urged the congregants to live as Christ did, adding that “you attract the presence of God when you repent of your sins”
