CDS Fact-Finding Team Meets with Key Stakeholders in Plateau to Boost Security Measures

In a significant move towards enhancing security measures in Plateau State, a fact-finding team from the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) has engaged with critical stakeholders in the region.

The team, led by Rear Admiral Oladele Daji, met with the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, and other key stakeholders to discuss the security situation and explore ways to improve safety and stability in the area.

During the meeting, Governor Lalong expressed his gratitude for the visit and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the military and the state government in tackling security challenges.

He highlighted the progress made in recent years, including the establishment of a peacebuilding agency and the creation of a security task force to address conflicts between farmers and herders.

The CDS team also visited the Special Task Force (STF) headquarters in Jos, where they were briefed on the security situation in the state and the efforts of the task force to maintain peace and order.

The team commended the STF for their work and encouraged them to continue their efforts in collaboration with other security agencies.

The fact-finding mission is part of a broader effort by the CDS to improve security measures across the country and address the growing concerns over the safety of citizens.

The engagement with critical stakeholders in Plateau State is a crucial step towards achieving this goal, as it allows for the exchange of information and the development of strategies to address the unique security challenges faced by the region.

As the CDS team continues its fact-finding mission, it is hoped that their efforts will lead to the implementation of improved security measures and a more peaceful and stable environment for the people of Plateau State.
