Bridge Clinic has claimed its eighth IVF Service Provider of the Year award at the 2026 Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards (NHEA), cementing its status among Nigeria's top fertility centres. The recognition came at the 12th edition of the NHEA held at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos.
The milestone carries special significance as Bridge Clinic marks 30 years of helping individuals and couples become parents through fertility treatment. Managing Director Dr.
Matthew Azoji received the award on behalf of the clinic and its team of specialists.
"This recognition is more than an award; it is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to innovation, excellence and patient-centred care," Azoji said. He stressed that the clinic's repeated success stems from rigorous governance frameworks and adherence to international standards.
Azoji explained that years of investment in quality systems, ethical practice and clinical governance have underpinned the clinic's eight NHEA victories. The award recognises contributions from fertility specialists, embryologists, nurses, counsellors and support staff across the organisation.
Founded in 1996, Bridge Clinic established itself as a pioneer in Nigerian fertility care by becoming the country's first IVF centre to attain ISO certification. The facility has built its reputation on evidence-based approaches, comprehensive diagnosis and internationally benchmarked clinical standards.
Beyond treatment, the clinic operates a patient-centred model that includes counselling, education and emotional support through its "We Are With You" programme. This initiative helps couples manage the emotional challenges tied to infertility.
Industry observers note the award underscores the expanding role of private healthcare providers in Nigeria's specialised medical sector. Fertility care, diagnostics and advanced healthcare interventions increasingly depend on private sector excellence.
