Barcelona clinched the Spanish La Liga title with a commanding 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in Sunday's El Clasico showdown.

Both goals came in the first half. Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres found the back of the net to secure the club's 29th league crown.

Remarkably, Barcelona only needed a draw to seal the trophy. They made their dominance count instead with a devastating attacking display.

Rashford opened the scoring from a free kick in the ninth minute. Torres doubled the advantage just nine minutes later, finishing brilliantly from Dani Olmo's assist.

Real Madrid struggled to find their rhythm throughout the contest. Gonzalo Garcia and Vinicius Jr. both squandered clear opportunities before the break.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois kept the deficit manageable with several crucial saves. Without his heroics, the scoreline could have been far more lopsided.

This victory extends Barcelona's unbeaten run to 19 consecutive league matches. The result marks their first La Liga title clinched directly against Real Madrid in the fixture's history.

Coach Hansi Flick secured his second trophy with Barcelona in two years. It's also the club's maiden title win at their newly renovated Spotify Camp Nou stadium.

Barcelona have now recorded 18 home wins at the refurbished venue, equaling the stadium record. They've accumulated 91 points from 35 matches so far this season.

With three games remaining, Barcelona hold a commanding 14-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid. Their stranglehold on the title appears completely unshakeable at this stage.

The timing proved especially poignant for the Catalan giants. Real Madrid had endured a difficult week marked by internal player disputes and Federico Valverde's hospitalization.
