Atiku Urges Nigerians to Show Love, Charity During Ramadan

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on Muslim faithful in Nigeria to extend their charity to the less privileged as they begin the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement released on Sunday, March 11, 2024, by his Media Office in Abuja, Abubakar emphasized the importance of seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness during this sacred period.

As the sighting of the Ramadan moon marks the beginning of the fasting period for Muslims worldwide, particularly in Nigeria, Abubakar urged the faithful to spend more time supplicating to God for His mercy on the country and on individuals.

He believes that the holy month is a time for deepening charity and showing more love to one another.

With the current economic hardship in Nigeria, the former Vice President stressed the importance of those with means to ensure that they extend their charity far greater than in previous years.

He urged Muslims to be steadfast in fulfilling the requirements of the holy month and pray for the Almighty Allah to shower His mercy and blessings on Nigeria, guiding the nation towards increased prosperity and peace during and after Ramadan.

The call by Atiku Abubakar for love, charity, and unity during the month of Ramadan serves as a reminder for all Nigerians to come together, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to support those in need and work towards a better future for the country.

As the nation faces various challenges, the spirit of Ramadan can inspire collective efforts to overcome these obstacles and foster a more prosperous and peaceful Nigeria.
