Apple has unveiled iOS 27, its latest operating system featuring a rebuilt Siri powered by advanced artificial intelligence. The new voice assistant understands personal context and handles multi-step tasks across apps.

The tech giant showcased iOS 27 at its Worldwide Developers Conference in 2026. Performance upgrades and AI capabilities take center stage, rather than major design changes.

iPhone 11 models and all newer devices will support iOS 27. This marks one of Apple's broadest software updates ever released.

Not all features come to every phone, however. Siri AI and Apple Intelligence will only work on iPhone 15 Pro and later models.

Older supported iPhones still get benefits. They'll see faster app launches, quicker photo loading, and improved AirDrop speeds.

Search capabilities across core apps will also improve. New AI-powered photo editing tools are coming to the system.

Parents will appreciate expanded controls on the platform. Safari browsing gets smarter, and the Health app gains new functionality.

Developers accessed the first beta immediately after the keynote on June 8. A public beta is scheduled for July release.

Apple plans a full rollout later this year. Industry watchers predict September launch alongside the next iPhone models.
