APC congress covers all interests in Delta-Emerhor

All Progressive Congress, APC,  Chieftain in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor has said the unity list which all APC faithful affirm during the congress held on Saturday, May 12 covers all party stakeholders interest in Delta State.

Olorogun Emerhor who addressed Journalists moment after the congress at the APC party secretariat Ughelli,  disclosed that having led a group of seven governorship candidates that have agreed to work togehter at the APC local government congress so that they don’t fight themselves, came up with a consensus list. He said the exercise was just an affirmation of the consensus list after reconciling and coming up with a list that represents all interests in the party.

Olorogun Emerhor noted that “Congresses as long as it covers the interest of people, generates trust hence the peaceful conduct of the exercise from Delta North to Delta South”. He further revealed that there is a group that did’nt join the unity group and their motives he do not know but said, majority always carry the day and having been defeated at the Ward level, it wouldn’t be possible to contest at the Local Government level.
He congratulated all party members for their peaceful conduct during the exercise which produced Chief Felix Ikure as the Chairman of the party in Ughelli North and urged them to work hard in order to deliver the party in the he real election.
On his part, Executive Director of Projects, NDDC Engr. Ajogbe also applauded the peaceful conduct of the exercise. He said it was a consensus list which covers all interest in the party and their coming was just to affirm that the congress was held.
The Ughelli North Local Government APC congress was duly supervised by officials of the party from the National headquarters led by Olorogun  Daniel Ekori and assisted by Comrade Chief Francis Okolosi and Hon. Wisdom Ghaghara.
Speaking after the exercise, Chief Ekori thanked the party faithful for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during the exercise. He said contrary to their expectations when they were coming, the whole exercise was peaceful and orderly and charged them to keep the unity in the party. All the party Exco’s who were elected through consensus are to hold sway of the party’s affair in the local government area in the next four years.
