Aiyedatiwa Urges Nationalistic Values in Ondo Corps Members

Ondo Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has recently emphasized the importance of nationalistic values among graduate youths participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme.

The Governor made this statement while declaring open the 2024 Batch ‘A’ (Stream 1) orientation course for Corps members.

According to Aiyedatiwa, the invitation extended to these young graduates to join the NYSC is not just for them to serve their country but also to bring out their nationalistic values.

He believes that this will help foster unity and a sense of patriotism among the youth.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a mandatory one-year program for Nigerian graduates under the age of 30.

The program aims to promote national unity, cultural exchange, and the development of young talents in various sectors of the economy.

The Governor’s statement comes at a time when there is a growing need for national cohesion and the promotion of a shared sense of identity among Nigerian citizens.

Aiyedatiwa’s call for the Corps members to embrace their nationalistic values is a step in the right direction, as it will help to strengthen the bond between the diverse communities in the country.

The Governor’s message to the Corps members in Ondo State is a reminder of the importance of unity, patriotism, and the role of the NYSC in promoting these values.

As the country continues to grapple with various challenges, it is crucial for young people to embrace their nationalistic values and work towards a more united and prosperous Nigeria.
