Adeyanju Urges Tinubu To Relocate Service Chiefs to Tackle Abduction Crisis in Borno, Kaduna

Human rights lawyer and leader of the Concerned Nigerians group, Comrade Deji Adeyanju, has called on President Bola Tinubu to order the nation’s Service Chiefs to set up camp in Borno and Kaduna states.

Adeyanju’s appeal comes after the shocking abduction of approximately 800 children and women in the past week and the recent mosque invasion in Kaduna, which resulted in heartrending casualties.

These incidents have prompted widespread national outrage and a demand for decisive action from the government.

In a statement on Saturday, Adeyanju emphasized the gravity of the situation and the need for the government to demonstrate its commitment to the safety and security of its citizens.

He believes that the physical presence of the Service Chiefs in the affected areas will ensure that the situation receives the attention and resources required for a swift resolution.

Adeyanju further urged the President to act decisively and deploy all necessary resources to secure the safe release of the abducted students and women and restore peace and security in the afflicted regions.

He underscored the importance of the government’s role in safeguarding its people, particularly in the face of complex challenges such as terrorism and insecurity.

As the nation awaits President Tinubu’s response to this pressing issue, the call for the relocation of the Service Chiefs to Borno and Kaduna is a bold and proactive measure aimed at tackling the abduction crisis and restoring the confidence of the Nigerian people in their government’s ability to protect them.
