Adamawa Police Arrest 15 ‘Shila Boys’ Phone Thieves

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 15 young men, known as ‘Shila Boys,’ for their involvement in phone snatching and other criminal activities in the state.

The arrests were made during the just concluded Sallah celebrations in Yola Town, Jimeta, and surrounding areas.

The suspects, aged between 18 and 32, were apprehended with the help of the local community, who have been actively collaborating with the police in the fight against crime.

The Adamawa State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has been working tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the people.

The police recovered nine mobile phones, a POS machine, dangerous weapons, and various types of hard drugs from the suspects. The police have identified the arrested individuals as:

The Adamawa State Police Command has been actively combating the activities of the ‘Shila Boys,’ a notorious group known for their involvement in armed robbery, house breaking, and other violent crimes.
