Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has opened a five-day training programme for senior officials. The course focuses on protocol, etiquette, capacity building and behavioural transformation.
Sessions began Monday at the Government House in Yola. They'll wrap up on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Fintiri was represented by the Head of Service, Pharm. Isa Ardo Shehu, at the inauguration ceremony.
He explained the training aims to boost efficiency and professionalism across state agencies.
According to the governor, improving public service remains a priority. His administration is pushing forward with project commissioning statewide.
Fintiri told participants to seize the opportunity for self-improvement. Better performance will translate to improved service delivery to residents.
Platinum Protocol and Verity Consultants Limited are running the programme. Adamawa State Government is footing the bill.
Ambassador Ibrahim M. Bashir, Chief Consultant at the organising firms, praised the governor's commitment.
He said public service professionals need continued skills development.
Bashir noted the training covers multiple critical areas. Participants will learn protocol, etiquette, official ceremonies, precedence and dining formalities.
Convoy management and flag protocols are also on the agenda. Security personnel, protocol staff and media officers will examine synergy too.
According to Bashir, attitude matters in public service work. He's confident this training will reshape how officials approach their responsibilities.
The programme improves relationship-building skills among participants. Better teamwork will result from the intensive sessions.
Hamman Bello Aminu, Permanent Secretary for Administration, hosted the event. Government officials and security personnel from the Government House attended.
