Gov Okowa, Jim Ovia for CAA 2018 fund raising dinner at Grand hotel Asaba, today 

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa shall be at the Nnebisi Hall of Grand Hotel Asaba; today Thursday 12th July, to welcome captains of industry, political leaders and philanthropists to the 21st African Senior Athletics Championship funding raising dinner.

Executive Assistant to the governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr Fred Oghenesivbe in a statement said former Managing Director and Chairman of Zenith Bank PLC, Mr Jim Ovia will preside over the fund raising dinner as Chairman of the occasion.

The event is to raise funds for the hosting of the CAA 21st African Senior Athletics Championship scheduled to hold at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, South-South Nigeria.

Former Governors of Delta State and their deputies, Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and Delta PDP Chairman, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, are to grace the fund raising dinner.

Other top dignitaries expected are; Chairman, Local Organising Committee of the Championship, Chief Solomon Ogbah, Secretary to Delta State Government, Rt Hon Festus Ovie Agas, Head of Service, Mr Reginald Bayoko, Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, Hon Tony Okowa, Political Adviser to PDP National Chairman, Chief Ighoyota Amori, Chief Economic Adviser to the governor, Barrister George Orogun, members of the State Executive Council, party leaders and business moguls from all walks of life.

The dinner shall commence exactly 7pm and all invited guests are to be seated on or before 6:30pm, the statement added.
