As momentum builds toward the 2027 general elections, a prominent builder and entrepreneur, Blessing Oghale Obomovo, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obomovo, Chief Executive Officer of Standout Properties Limited, made the declaration in a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists on Sunday, outlining a people-centred agenda tagged “OGHALEISOKO2027.”

He said his ambition is driven not by personal gain but by a commitment to service, promising accessible representation, infrastructure development, quality healthcare, economic empowerment, and unity across the constituency.

“There comes a time in the life of a people when silence is no longer an option, and service becomes a responsibility. That time is now,” he stated, adding that his aspiration followed extensive consultations and deep reflection.

The aspirant emphasised that representation must go beyond mere presence in Abuja, insisting it must be visible at home and impactful in the lives of constituents. He pledged to leverage legislative influence to attract federal opportunities, promote industrial growth, and expand access to education and healthcare.

“I offer myself not just as a candidate, but as a servant leader prepared to provide practical and accessible representation that keeps the people at the centre,” he said.

A native of Otor-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area, Obomovo is widely known for his contributions to real estate development, grassroots politics, sports sponsorship, and humanitarian services. A Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Builders (FNIOB), he has built a reputation in sustainable housing and community development across Africa.

He also highlighted his commitment to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and skills development, while calling for a united Isoko where collective strength can drive progress.

“I do not claim to have all the answers, but I bring experience, capacity, and a proven track record of building not just structures, but people,” he added.

Obomovo, a devout Christian and Knight of the Sacred Order of Saint Christopher (KSC), assured constituents that his candidacy is a call to collective action to rewrite the development narrative of the Isoko nation.

Observers say his entry into the race adds a new dimension to the contest as political activity gradually intensifies ahead of the 2027 elections.
