Vice President Shettima Reveals Tinubu’s Determination to End Insecurity in Nigeria

Addressing the persistent security challenges facing Nigeria, Vice President Kashim Shettima has revealed President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to tackling the menace of Boko Haram and other security threats.

Speaking at the launch of two books by former Nigerian Ambassador to Russia, Professor Abdullahi Shehu, Shettima emphasized the President’s focus on enhancing national security as a top priority.

The Vice President, represented by his Special Adviser on General Duties, Dr Aliyu Modibbo Umar, highlighted the alarming threat posed by terrorist organizations like Boko Haram and stressed the importance of empirical research in informing policy reforms and driving national development.

The two books launched by Professor Shehu, titled “Boko Haram and Other Security Challenges in Nigeria: Issues and Options for Policy” and “Reflections on the 2023 General Elections: Lessons Learned and the Future of Democracy in Nigeria,” provide valuable insights and data-driven analysis on Nigeria’s security landscape.

Vice President Shettima lauded the importance of such intellectual inquiry in shaping the nation’s security policies and strategies.
