Troops Discover ISWAP Bread Factory in Borno State: Counter-Terrorism Operation Success

In the fight against terrorism, troops of Operation Lake Sanity III and Operation Hadin Kai have discovered an ISWAP bread factory in Maisani, Timbuktu Triangle, located in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The discovery was part of a week-long clearance operation aimed at dismantling the terrorists’ stronghold in the region.

Counter-terrorism expert, Zagazola Makama, reported the breakthrough on X, citing intelligence sources.

The combined forces of the 199 Special Forces Battalion, Hybrid Forces, and Civilian JTF conducted the operation, which led to the destruction of the factory and the recovery of valuable equipment, including two Lister generating plants, one baking machine, and various baking materials.

The operation targeted key locations within the Timbuktu Triangle, such as Buk 1, 2, and 3, Talala, Ajigin, Dusula, Abulam, and Gorgi.

These areas have been known to serve as strongholds for the terrorist group, and the recent counter-terrorism efforts have successfully decimated their presence in the region.

This successful operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military to combat terrorism and restore peace in the northeastern part of the country.

The discovery of the ISWAP bread factory highlights the adaptability of the terrorist group and underscores the importance of continued vigilance and intelligence-led operations in the fight against terrorism.
