Tragic Loss for Gombe Title Holder: 6 Family Members Perish in Road Accident

A prominent title holder in Gombe Emirate, Maidalan Gombe, Alhaji Ahmad Abubakar, has suffered a heartrending loss as six members of his family were killed in a tragic road accident along the Azare-Gombe road.

The incident took place near Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State while the family was returning from Azare town in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The deceased include Maidalan Gombe’s daughter, Zainab, and her son, Ahmad, as well as Ahmad Muhammad and Na’ima Muhammad, the children of Maidalan Gombe’s brother, Muhammad D.O.

Two other family members also lost their lives in the accident.

The funeral prayer for the deceased was held at the Gombe Emir’s Palace, attended by the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, and thousands of sympathisers.

The remains of the deceased were later buried at Gombe Central cemetery along the Gombe-Bajoga road.

Governor Yahaya expressed his condolences, stating that words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt for the immense grief the family is experiencing.

He assured them that they are in the thoughts and prayers of the community during this difficult time.

The tragic loss has deeply impacted the Gombe Emirate and the wider community, with many expressing their condolences and support for the grieving family.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for continued efforts to ensure the safety of all road users.
