Tingo Cola & Electric Energy Drink Launch Upholds Local Content Principles: Ooni’s Vision for Africa

In a event hosted by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Tingo BV Plc unveiled Tingo Cola and Tingo Electric energy drink, both of which embody the spirit of Africa and uphold local content principles.

This launch was attended by prominent figures from various industries, including media executives, senior government officials, and traditional chiefs at Tingo Place in Lagos.

During the event, the Ooni expressed his pride in Tingo Foods and Tingo BV for their significant achievement in creating a brand that not only embodies African innovation but also competes with other exportable products in the global market.

He emphasized that both Tingo Cola and Tingo Electric are made with 80% and 85% locally sourced and manufactured ingredients, respectively.

Founder of Tingo Foods, Dozi Mmobuosi, highlighted the collaboration and innovation behind these exceptional beverages.

He described the launch as a celebration of Nigerian ingenuity and expressed gratitude for the support of the Ooni and all esteemed guests.

The Tingo range of beverages, which includes Tingo Electra energy drink, Tingo Twist, Tingo Booze, Ojaja Bitters, and Ojaja Herbal Drinks, among others, will be distributed through Ojaja Malls in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, as well as online platforms.

The Ooni of Ife has pledged his support as the brand’s ‘number one ambassador’ and promised to guide it towards success.

As Tingo BV looks forward to expanding its product range with more flavors, the launch of Tingo Cola and Tingo Electric marks a significant milestone for black-owned businesses and a step towards showcasing the best of Nigerian ingenuity on a global scale.
