Three Suspected Kidnappers Arrested in Nasarawa State, Nigeria

The Nasarawa State Police Command has successfully apprehended three suspected kidnappers in Mararaba.

The suspects, Babangida Abdullahi (29), Mohammed Abubakar (27), and Yakubu Sani (30), all residents of Aso B Mararaba, Karu LGA, were arrested for allegedly conspiring to kidnap Ibrahim Idris, an uncle to one of the suspects.

According to a press release from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Nasarawa, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the suspects contacted Idris and threatened to kidnap him if he did not pay a ransom of N2 million.

In fear of being kidnapped, Idris complied and dropped the money at a location specified by the suspects. The suspects then collected the money and divided it among themselves.

The suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime, and the police are currently making efforts to apprehend another member of the syndicate who managed to escape arrest.

The successful operation by the Nasarawa State Police Command highlights their commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of residents in the state.

The arrest of these suspects serves as a warning to other criminal elements in the region and demonstrates the effectiveness of law enforcement in maintaining security.
