SEF Foundation Celebrates Sallah, Donates to 5,000 FCT Residents

In the spirit of Sallah and the Ramadan season, the Sam Empowerment Foundation (SEF) has made a significant impact in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by organizing a Sallah party for 5,000 residents of Orozo community.

This initiative, led by the Program Director of the Foundation, Mrs Kiema Ogunlana, aimed to improve the quality of life for Nigerians, particularly children and women living in vulnerable conditions.

The foundation, founded by Dr. (Mrs) Aisha Achimugu (OFR), has been actively involved in various intervention projects aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by vulnerable communities in Nigeria.

These projects focus on health, education, empowerment, capacity building, and psychosocial development.

Through these efforts, SEF has brought hope and happiness to numerous Nigerians, demonstrating the power of compassion and kindness.

During the Ramadan fasting period, SEF extended its support to over 500 indigent persons, including orphans and vulnerable children, by providing daily food donations across three communities in the FCT: Karu, Guzape, and Garki village. This initiative ensured that no child went hungry after the fasting period.

Mrs Ogunlana emphasized the importance of prioritizing humanity over politics and other biases, such as tribe or religion, to foster unity and progress within the Nigerian community.

She urged Nigerian leaders and financially stable individuals to follow SEF’s example and contribute to the welfare of their fellow citizens.

The Chief Imam Yoruba of Orozo Central Mosque, Adepoju Abdulmajeed Busayo, expressed gratitude towards SEF for their kindness and called on the government and other stakeholders to emulate the foundation’s efforts in addressing the challenges faced by the community.

He highlighted the need for everyone to be their brother’s keeper, particularly in light of the current economic and security issues in the country.

Parents in the Orozo Community, like Mrs Joy Ruth, have praised the foundation for its generous contributions and called on other organizations to help alleviate the suffering of those in need.

The celebration was marked by a variety of activities, including a dancing competition, a funfair, and food donations to over 5,000 individuals, including children, women, youths, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

This heartwarming event serves as a reminder of the importance of community and the power of collective action in making a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
