Qoray Mobility & Energies Ltd, a clean energy and sustainable mobility company, has formally unveiled the founding executive team steering the company's operations across Nigeria. The leadership trio comprises founder and chief executive officer Olabanjo Alimi, alongside co-founders Akinkunmi Akingbogun as vice president of mobility and Ayo Falola as vice president of renewable energy.
Together, the team has deployed more than 2,150 electric vehicles, installed over 7MWh of decentralised solar systems, and mobilised more than ₦20 billion in clean energy assets across the country. "Our mission is to drive Africa's transition to clean energy and sustainable mobility through community, innovation, and partnerships," Alimi said.
Qoray was founded by executives who spent years working within Nigeria's financial sector before deciding to lead the clean energy transition themselves. The founding team believes Africa's energy transformation must be championed by Africans, designed for African communities, and scaled through locally-driven businesses.
Alimi, who founded Qoray at the intersection of Nigeria's clean energy, mobility, and financial sectors, brings extensive experience from the banking and energy industries. He previously served as divisional head of renewable energy and mobility at Sterling Bank and held the position of chief operating officer and executive director at Eterna PLC.
His earlier roles included leadership positions at Enyo Retail & Supply and Oando Marketing, now NNPC Retail, where he oversaw portfolios worth more than USD 400 million. Under his direction, Qoray has achieved operational milestones that've deepened energy access, improved air quality, and created thousands of green jobs.
Akingbogun brings more than two decades of experience as an engineer and clean-mobility executive across multiple sectors. He holds degrees in civil engineering, water and environmental engineering, and business marketing, and completed the senior management programme at Lagos Business School.
The co-founder is certified by COREN and serves as a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. Before co-founding Qoray, he held leadership roles at OVH Energy and Sterling Bank, where he drove strategic initiatives in mobility, infrastructure, and sustainable transport.
At Qoray, Akingbogun has championed electric mobility adoption through strategic partnerships and ecosystem development. Falola, the third co-founder, leads the company's renewable energy division and brings his own expertise to the team's efforts.
The company's track record demonstrates the team's commitment to sustainable progress. The executives believe their homegrown approach to Africa's energy transition proves that continental leadership can drive meaningful change across the region.
