President Tinubu Hosts Federal Executive Council for Ramadan Iftar

President Bola Tinubu recently hosted members of the Federal Executive Council to a Ramadan-breaking fast (Iftar) at the banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Nigeria.

This event has been a tradition at the Aso Rock Villa, the residence of the Presidents of Nigeria since 1999.

The occasion began with the Magrib prayer led by the Chief Imam of the Villa, Malam Abdulwahid Suleiman.

After the prayer, President Tinubu led the guests for the banquet, which usually lasts for an hour before the night prayer of Isha.

Attending the event were several Ministers, including those of Information and National Orientation, Housing, FCT, Transportation, and Youth, as well as service chiefs.

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and is observed by adult Muslims around the world with a fast from dawn to dusk for a period of 29 or 30 days.

This event is a significant part of the Islamic faith and emphasizes spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and empathy for those less fortunate.

This gathering of the Federal Executive Council for Iftar not only highlights the importance of religious unity and tolerance in Nigeria but also demonstrates President Tinubu’s commitment to upholding longstanding traditions during his tenure.
