Police Arrest 4 Suspects Over Tricycle Theft in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended four men suspected of stealing three tricycles from a mobility company based in Ojota.

The arrest was confirmed by the command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement to newsmen on Saturday.

The company’s secretary reported the theft to the Ogudu Police Division on Tuesday at about 10:00 am.

According to the secretary, the tricycles were stolen by unknown persons at around 7:00 am on Tuesday.

In response to the report, a team of detectives from the division launched an investigation, tracking the stolen tricycles to different locations across the state. Their efforts led to the arrest of the four suspects.

The first suspect was apprehended in Ondo Town, Ondo State, with the first stolen tricycle, while the second suspect was arrested at Mile 12 in Lagos State with the second tricycle.

The third and fourth suspects were caught at Idiroko, a boundary town between Lagos State and Ogun, in possession of the third tricycle.

The swift action taken by the Lagos State Police Command demonstrates their commitment to tackling crime and ensuring the safety and security of the residents.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court upon the completion of the investigation.
