Osun First Lady Urges NYSC Corps Members to Embrace Entrepreneurship at Ede Camp

The NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede, Osun State, recently played host to a notable guest, as the First Lady of the state, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, paid a visit to the camp.

Her visit was marked by a motivational lecture during the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, where she encouraged the prospective corps members to embrace self-employment and become financially independent.

Welcomed warmly by the State Coordinator, Mr. Ndoma Obim Agbor, and his team, the First Lady inspected the quarter guard before delivering her lecture.

Drawing from her personal experiences, Mrs. Adeleke highlighted the importance of starting small and gradually expanding one’s business.

She also emphasized the potential of remote work and the value of in-demand skills such as automobile mechanics and beading.

Encouraging continuous skill development, she advised the corps members to continue developing their skills even while employed, as adaptability is crucial in today’s job market.

Her visit concluded with a cheerful donation of a cow, which undoubtedly lifted the spirits of the camp.

State Coordinator Mr. Ndoma Obim Agbor also addressed the corps members, stressing the importance of the SAED program in bridging the employment gap.

He urged the corps members to take advantage of funding opportunities and to master diverse crafts through post-camp training.

Mrs. Kemi Adebayo, Head of SAED on Camp, emphasized the benefits of active participation in the program’s components, thanking the State Coordinator and SAED supervisor for their support.

The First Lady’s visit and inspiring words left a lasting impression on the corps members, motivating them to excel in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
