Nwoko Secures Release of Four Family Members Involved in Illegal Arms Factory in Delta State

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North senatorial district in Delta State, has successfully secured the release of four family members involved in the operation of an illegal arms factory in Onicha-Olona community.

The case came to light after the Nigerian Army discovered the factory, which was capable of producing drones and modifying AK-47 rifles to hold more ammunition.

Following his visit to the Headquarters of the 63 Brigade in Asaba and discussions with the Brigade Commander, Senator Nwoko revealed that efforts are being made to ensure fair treatment for the individuals involved.

The senator emphasized the importance of balancing justice with the opportunity for rehabilitation and contribution to society.

As part of his efforts, Senator Nwoko has been advocating for the recognition and development of such talents nationwide.

He plans to move a bill in the Senate to support and nurture individuals with exceptional skills in engineering and technology, even if they have been involved in illegal activities.

In the case of the Onicha-Olona illegal arms factory, Senator Nwoko’s intervention has led to the release of four family members.

The remaining four individuals are still awaiting a fair judgment and potential pardon, as the senator continues to work towards a balanced outcome for all parties involved.

Senator Nwoko has expressed his commitment to upholding the law while also recognizing the need to redirect the talents demonstrated by the individuals towards lawful and productive endeavors.
