NAF Strikes: Terrorist Leaders Neutralized in Borno State

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully neutralized top terrorist leaders and other fighters in Borno State through strategic airstrikes conducted as part of Operation Hadin Kai.

The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai targeted hideouts of ISWAP terrorists nestled within Kolleram village along the shores of Lake Chad, resulting in the death of over 30 terrorists, including key commanders Ali Dawud, Bakura Fallujah, and Mallam Ari.

NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Edward Gabkwet, shared details of the operation in a statement, highlighting the significant impact of the airstrikes on the terrorist group’s operational capabilities.

The airstrikes not only killed numerous terrorists but also destroyed vehicles, motorcycles, and logistical assets, severely hampering their operations in the region.

The airstrikes also targeted a key facility within the Kolleram enclave that served as a hub for the terrorists’ food processing activities, including grinding machines.

This strategic move has effectively disrupted the terrorists’ supply chain and further weakened their presence in the Lake Chad area.

Gabkwet emphasized the NAF’s commitment to eradicating terrorism in Nigeria and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.

The airstrikes, conducted in collaboration with ground forces, represent a significant step forward in the fight against terrorism in the country.

As the Nigerian government and security forces continue their efforts to combat terrorism, the successful airstrikes serve as a reminder of the importance of air power in addressing security challenges and maintaining stability in the region.

The operation demonstrates the NAF’s capability and determination to protect the nation and its people, as well as its commitment to working with other security agencies to achieve lasting peace and security in Nigeria.
