Kano APC Insists Those Suspending Ganduje as Chairman Are Impostors

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano State has dismissed the recent suspension of the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as an act of impersonation by non-legitimate executive members of the party in Ganduje Ward, Dawakin Tofa.

In a statement to journalists, the state party Secretary Ibrahim Zakari Sarina, clarified that Mallam Basiru Isah Nuhu and others who announced the suspension were not legitimate executive members of the APC in Ganduje Ward.

Sarina insisted that the suspension was a deliberate attempt by some elements to cause chaos and confusion within the party.

Sarina acknowledged that some of the individuals involved in the suspension were party members but had never held any executive position within the party.

He emphasized that the so-called Chairman had never been an executive member of the APC at any level.

The perceived crisis within the APC has escalated, with a new group emerging and claiming to be the executive members of the party in Ganduje ward.

The group, led by the secretary of the ward, Jaafar Adamu, issued a fresh suspension on the National Chairman on Sunday.

However, Sarina argued that the group was not the legitimate ward exco legally elected on 31st July 2021.

As the situation unfolds, the Kano APC remains firm in its stance that those suspending Ganduje are impostors, and the party is taking necessary measures to address the issue.

The controversy surrounding the suspension highlights the internal challenges faced by the APC in Kano State and raises concerns about the unity and stability of the party ahead of future elections.
