IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu’s Family Alleges Financial Gain in His Continued Detention, Raises Health Concerns

The family of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has raised the alarm over the alleged financial gain associated with his continued detention.

The family claims that the federal government spends a staggering N800 million each time Kanu appears in court, leading them to suspect that his detention has become a lucrative business for a cabal in the government.

Emmanuel Kanu, the family spokesman, expressed concern that the substantial amount of money involved in Kanu’s court appearances may hinder the possibility of his release on bail.

He questioned the government’s motives and demanded transparency on who is collecting and spending the money, and for what purpose.

Adding to their worries, the family has expressed fresh concern over Kanu’s deteriorating health, stating that he urgently needs access to a cardiologist to avoid a looming health crisis.

They claim that he has not been granted access to his personal doctors while in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

As the situation unfolds, the allegations of financial gain and the growing concerns over Nnamdi Kanu’s health have raised further questions about the motives behind his continued detention.

It remains to be seen whether the federal government will address these concerns and take appropriate action to ensure that Kanu receives the medical attention he requires and that the legal proceedings are conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
