Fresh Suspension of Ganduje by Another APC Faction in Kano State

A new faction within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ganduje Ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, Kano State, has announced the suspension of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the party, from the APC.

This comes shortly after another faction in the same ward had declared a vote of confidence in Ganduje’s leadership.

The suspension was announced by the secretary of the faction, Malam Ja’afar Ganduje, who claimed to represent the authentic executive members of the ward.

The decision was based on allegations of anti-party activities during the 2023 elections, which were said to have contributed to the party’s failure in the state.

Additionally, the faction accused Ganduje of creating internal conflict among party members at the ward level and failing to pay his statutory dues to the party.

This development follows a previous suspension announced by Malam Haladu Gwanjo, the Legal Adviser of another APC faction in Ganduje Ward.

Gwanjo had cited corruption and other issues as reasons for the suspension, claiming that nine executive members of the party in Ganduje Ward had taken the decision.

In response to the initial suspension, a factional ward chairman, Malam Ahmad Ganduje, had declared support for the national chairman, stating that the ward officials were satisfied with his leadership style.

He urged all party members in the ward and across the state to remain calm and law-abiding.

The recent announcement of a new suspension by a different faction in the same ward highlights the ongoing internal conflicts and factionalization within the APC in Kano State.

The situation has led to confusion and controversy within the party, with different groups claiming to represent the true interests of the APC in the state.

As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the national leadership of the APC will respond to the suspension of its chairman in his home ward.

The party is now faced with the challenge of addressing these internal conflicts and ensuring unity among its members in Kano State and across the country.
