Former APC Member Sheds Light on El-Rufai’s Visit to SDP Headquarters

Ibrahim Modibbo, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Legacy Group, has offered his perspective on the recent visit of the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) headquarters.

According to Modibbo, El-Rufai’s visit was part of his search for relevance in the political sphere after leaving office and being overlooked by the APC.

During his tenure as governor, El-Rufai was known for his proactive approach, energy, drive, and foresight in politics.

Modibbo praised his performance in office, particularly in terms of infrastructural development, which transformed the state of Kaduna.

He even compared El-Rufai to Nyesom Wike, another former governor known for his accomplishments.

Despite El-Rufai’s achievements, Modibbo pointed out that the APC has not considered him for any significant role since he left office.

This, coupled with his rejected ministerial nomination by the National Assembly, has left El-Rufai in search of a new political path.

The visit to the SDP headquarters, according to Modibbo, was a consultation to explore potential opportunities for El-Rufai’s future in politics.

The SDP, which has been working to strengthen its position in Nigerian politics, could potentially benefit from El-Rufai’s experience and expertise.

As El-Rufai’s political journey continues, the outcome of his consultations with the SDP and other political players will determine the next chapter of his career.

Whether he remains with the APC or joins a new party, El-Rufai’s search for relevance and his desire to continue making an impact on Nigeria’s political landscape will undoubtedly be a key factor in his decision-making process.
