Ecobank, AFC, and Soto Gallery Boost Creative Industry with +234Arts Exhibition

Ecobank Nigeria Limited, in collaboration with the African Finance Corporation (AFC) and Soto Gallery, has organized +234Arts, an international arts exhibition aimed at driving growth in the creative industry.

The event, which is set to attract art enthusiasts from Nigeria, Africa, and the rest of the world, will take place at the Ecobank Pan African Centre (EPAC) from March 22nd to 31st.

The +234Arts exhibition is dedicated to nurturing and uplifting the burgeoning art industry in Nigeria by providing a platform to support emerging artists and encouraging increased interest in art acquisition.

This initiative is expected to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the local art sector and its international recognition.

Bolaji Lawal, Managing Director/Regional Executive of Ecobank Nigeria, emphasized the importance of the creative industry as an essential driver of economic growth, well-being, and global connectivity.

He also mentioned the bank’s commitment to investing in the potential of young people for a brighter future for Nigeria as a country.

The exhibition will showcase the works of “un-galleried” Nigerian artists, providing them with wide-reaching exposure that would enhance their careers.

“Un-galleried” artists typically refer to those who do not have representation or exhibition opportunities through traditional art galleries and often face challenges in gaining exposure and selling their creative work.

This first edition of +234Arts takes the thematic direction of “A New Heritage” and is designed to serve as a melting pot of artistic creativity from different strata of the society.

The exhibition is expected to attract top government officials, policy makers, members of the diplomatic corps, and art enthusiasts from around the world.

The collaboration between Ecobank, AFC, and Soto Gallery in organizing the +234Arts exhibition is a significant step towards boosting the creative industry in Nigeria and promoting the talents of emerging artists.
