CNG Applauds NSA, Security Agencies for Successful Rescue of Kuriga School Children

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has commended the National Security Adviser and various security agencies for their successful efforts in the rescue of the Kuriga school children in Kaduna State.

The children, who were abducted from their school on March 6, were recently released unharmed after two weeks of captivity.

In a statement by the National Coordinator, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, the CNG expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Army, community leaders, traditional rulers, and concerned individuals who played crucial roles in securing the release of the innocent school children.

The group also praised the dedication and professionalism of the security operatives who risked their lives to ensure the safety of the children.

The CNG called on the federal government and security operatives to remain vigilant until all other students and vulnerable Nigerians being held captive by bandits are freed and communities prone to attacks are securely protected.

The group expressed concern over the recent spikes of attacks in Katsina and Zamfara states and urged state governors to work closely with the Federal Government to address the surge in violent attacks against innocent citizens in their communities.

The CNG reiterated its commitment to promoting peace, unity, and development throughout the region and advocating for policies that prioritize the welfare of the most vulnerable members of society.

The group also called on all northerners and friends of the North to recommit themselves to seeking divine intervention to the security and economic challenges facing the region, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

The successful rescue of the Kuriga school children is a testament to the power of collaboration and the dedication of security agencies in protecting the citizens of Nigeria, especially the most vulnerable members of society.
