Bandits Abduct 13 Persons, Steal Millions Worth of Property in Katsina

In a fresh attack by bandits in Kurechin Giye village of Makera Ward in Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State, 13 persons, including 12 married women and a man, were abducted.

The hoodlums also made away with properties worth millions of naira belonging to the residents.

According to a resident who requested anonymity, the bandits were armed with dangerous and sophisticated weapons and invaded the village late Monday.

No comments have been made by government or other security authorities in the state regarding the incident.

The resident stated that during the attack, which lasted for hours, there was no security intervention or reinforcement.

The bandits were said to have splashed hot millet drink prepared by the residents to break their fast on small children and women before they made away with property worth millions of naira.

This incident has once again raised concerns about the security situation in Katsina State and the need for increased efforts to protect residents from such attacks.
