APC Reschedules Ondo Gubernatorial Primary Election: New Timetable and Committee Revealed

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a new timetable for the Ondo State gubernatorial primary election.

The party has also named a seven-member committee to oversee the election process, headed by the Deputy National Chairman (South), Emma Eneukwu.

The committee includes members such as Festus Fuanter, Victor Giadom, Prof. Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana, Sulaiman Argungu, Dr Mary Alile Idele, Durotolu Oyebode Bankole, and Nze Chidi Duru.

The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) made this decision during its 144th meeting on March 6, 2024.

The primary election, initially scheduled for April 25, has now been rescheduled to April 20.

The sale of forms, previously set to take place between April 3 and April 10, has been rescheduled for March 27 to April 3.

The screening of aspirants, which was initially planned for April 19 and 20, will now take place from April 11 to April 12.

Additionally, the delegate congress has been brought forward from April 22 to April 15.

This rescheduling of the Ondo gubernatorial primary election comes amidst the ongoing political activities in Nigeria, with various parties preparing for upcoming elections.

The APC’s decision to adjust the timetable and set up a new committee demonstrates its commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent election process in Ondo State.

As the new timetable takes effect, all eyes will be on the seven-member committee, led by Emma Eneukwu, to ensure a fair and successful primary election.
