Air Peace has wrapped up its third emergency evacuation flight from South Africa, bringing 268 Nigerian nationals back to safety. The airline worked with the Federal Government to complete the operation using its Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
Across three missions, Air Peace has now repatriated 801 Nigerians fleeing the recent xenophobic violence in South Africa. The carrier airlifted 262 people on June 11, 271 on June 30, and 268 on July 3.
The airline deployed its long-haul capabilities to support citizens affected by the tensions gripping the country. The Federal Government coordinated the humanitarian response to ensure Nigerians could return home safely.
Air Peace said the achievement showcases its commitment to serving the nation during crises. The carrier has now executed more than sixteen evacuation and humanitarian missions across Africa and beyond since it began flying.
The latest operation reinforces the airline's partnership with the Federal Government in delivering rapid humanitarian assistance. Air Peace continues to demonstrate its readiness to mobilise resources whenever Nigerians face emergencies abroad.
The airline has built a reputation as a provider of emergency airlift services, deploying aircraft and operational expertise to tackle crises and execute urgent repatriations. The South Africa evacuations underscore its willingness to step in during moments of national need.
